My First Visit to Malacañang

I first met GMA on my grandfather's wake last year. She seemed to have a very strong personality and I was so intimidated. Nothing much has changed after one year.. She still carries a strong aura.. and i still find her very intimidating.

When we entered Malacañang, one of the usherettes escorted us to the Heroes' Hall - where the oathtaking took place. As we stepped in to the hall, I saw a lot of familiar faces.. politicians left and right.. I remember being next to Senator Alvarez in the registration area. The feeling was simply overwhelming. The girl led us to the front row where my mom's name was placed at the back of the chair.. It says there: " Reserved for Director Cristina Concordia and family"... I felt so proud for her. For almost 30 years, she has dedicated her life as a caring mother and loving wife to all of us, and i know.. at that moment, that she deserves this kind of achievement.. More than anyone else.. It's her turn now.. and I couldn't be happier than that!
